How we feel about it:

We recognize that human potential is the same for all peoples in all cultures and economies.  Many world citizens have no access to the education and the intellectual environment that are prerequisites for opening up opportunities for a diversity of paths to self fulfillment.  The path is arduous for persons who are driven to create a new reality for themselves.  We look for ways to make this a possibility for all persons no matter where in the world they are born.

Amnesty International
Amnesty is a worldwide organization that campaigns for human rights.  They define human rights broadly to include prisoners of conscience, physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscious and expression and freedom from discrimination.  Amnesty International will work to address issues like discrimination -- which is a cross-cutting problem that affects people on a basis of sex, race, religion and culture.  The organization will also strengthen its work on economic, social and cultural rights and violence toward women.
