The Center's goal is to link local organizing efforts to national and international movements toward establishing structures and relationships that are nonviolent, non-hierarchical, humane and just. World Peace Foundation
examines the causes of and cures for intrastate conflict. It studies and sponsors research on the role of non-governmental organizations in preventing conflict in ethnically divided societies. In Africa, it studies the creation of African crisis response forces, the use of preventive diplomacy in resolving ethnic and other inter-communal conflicts and work on truth commissions. The US Peace Government
The US Peace Government was founded by John Hagelin, quantum physicist and presidential candidate of the Natural Law Party in July 2000. Its purpose is to prevent violence and promote world peace. Hagelin is establishing centers nationwide that will implement programs in preventive health, education and natural medicine; for consciousness-based education; for sustainable, organic agriculture; and for other prevention-oriented programs.
